At the heart of Social Hospitality Associates is Sharyn DeWalt, a dedicated hospitality professional with more than 30 years of experience in the Washington, DC restaurant scene. Sharyn’s journey began in management roles at some of the city’s most iconic and beloved institutions—including Clyde’s Restaurant Group, Capital Restaurant Concepts, and Whitlow’s on Wilson—where she cultivated a deep understanding of restaurant operations, guest engagement, and team development.
Her hands-on experience in the industry laid a strong foundation for her transition into hospitality recruitment, where she found her true calling: helping talented individuals find fulfilling careers and supporting restaurants in building strong, successful teams. For 17 years, Sharyn was an integral part of Capital Restaurant Resources, where she built a reputation for identifying exceptional candidates and creating lasting matches across the region’s most respected hospitality groups.
In 2024, Sharyn launched Social Hospitality Associates, Shallc, to offer a more personalized, high-touch approach to recruiting. His journey has taken him from the floor to the executive office, leading teams and launching celebrated concepts alongside some of the industry's most visionary chefs—including José Andrés, Bryan Voltaggio, Tony Chittum, and David Burke.
Throughout his career, Jon has been at the helm of some of the East Coast’s most dynamic and high-performing restaurant operations. From opening new concepts to overseeing multi-unit leadership, his focus has always remained the same: to craft hospitality that feels effortless, intuitive, and deeply human. That operational insight and guest-first philosophy now fuel his work in recruitment—where he helps restaurants build teams that elevate service and culture from within.
